In this article we talk about my conversation with Emmet Sauvage, the difference between Debt and Equity, why investing is like watching paint dry, the AI CFO Club of Nicolas Boucher and the company Roko.
When you're identifying these "tiny compounders," how do you tackle the trade-offs between growth potential and liquidity/volatility risks? Are there threshold metrics you use to filter out the ones that might move but could also trap you in thin markets?
Great article. Talking about Life-Changing Investments, legendary Gold and Silver Investor Rick Rule recently said: "You have no excuse, not to make a million or two, in this market”. Rick Rule shared which 22 mining stocks he owns in 2025
Thanks for sharing. no beating around the bush. there is a lot of truth in it. Commodity stocks/ETF are not for everyone but I look forward to the next five years regarding Gold, silver and uranium
I registered for the AI CFO webinar and was slightly disappointed.
The presentation seemed to highlight the power of "prompt engineering" and copying and pasting results between different platforms. It looks cool and powerful but it's obvious nobody is double checking the code that is being generated or the subsequent results. This is dangerous.
Nicolas spent a lot of time selling his services and platform. I could tell this was going to be a heavy sales pitch when he started working up the crowd with questions like "Are you excited?" ... "Are you ready to be engaged?".
I was hoping this would introduce some fundamental principles of using AI and long term industry effects.
It's OK. I don't consider this a loss. It's always interesting to see how people are using new tools as they come out. Can you imagine the webinars that would have recorded in 1998 - 2000 on how to use email for marketing and reaching new audiences?! 😳 Yes, it would be cringe-worthy! 😄
I'm probely not objective because Nicolas is a great friend and I know him as an incredibly human being. If you know him as I do, I am sure you will get along very very well!
I'm sure Nicolas is a fine person and I understand he is trying to promote his services and all that. It's just that I expected something else - maybe something a little less emotional and a little more rational. It's all good. I'm sure there are many people who would benefit from his insights. 👍
The world is a small place and I wouldn't be surprised if I bump into him one day in Omaha!

Yes there are thresholds we'll use. It will be shared in the Owner's Manual. To be continued!
