Warren Buffett said at an annual meeting, if he were a young investor today, he would develop a circle of competence in technology stocks. Your list should include a top technology stock investor. Maybe Chase Coleman or Dennis Lynch at CPODX? Who would you nominate?
Currently, I am not sharing my investable universe as I am not allowed to do this from my employer (I work as an equity fund manager).
However, in late 2023 I will launch a full Compounding Quality service which shows our investable universe, investment cases, ... and even my current portfolio.
Thanks for your insights .. they reinforce how important company specific data is and outside noise on debt ceilings ..inflation ..interest rates however interesting ultimately doesnt matter to the equity investor
Terry Smith had some trouble with his approach when investing in emerging markets though:
When Emerging Market Growth Stock Investing Fails: Fundsmith Emerging Equities Trust plc to Liquidate
"Terry Smith's ("the English Warren Buffett") mature growth stock investing style hit some snags when applied to emerging markets as he prepares to liquidate his Fundsmith Emerging Equities Trust plc."
Yea - that’s a good way… e.g. Unilever, P&G, etc who probably derive most of their revenues from EMs… Same with China - invest via Korean, Taiwanese, HK stocks with exposure
Thank you, CQ!
Regardless of the chosen topic, I will read every single article you post.
We (your readers) are like kids waiting to open the next gift under the tree on Christmas morning.
I always need to smile when you I read your reactions. :)
Thank you so much. Looking forward to meeting you in Omaha!
🙏
Y'alls content is always top notch. Thank you for providing all this information at no cost to the reader. It's been a tremendous help!
It's an honor, Cam!
I have almost written 100 articles by now and didn't earn a penny on it. :)

Hi Brian,
I focus mainly on quality stocks. However, a lot of quality stocks can be found in the technology sector: Arista Networks, Fortinet, Adobe, ...
I would love to see your investable universe list.
Hi Joes,
Currently, I am not sharing my investable universe as I am not allowed to do this from my employer (I work as an equity fund manager).
However, in late 2023 I will launch a full Compounding Quality service which shows our investable universe, investment cases, ... and even my current portfolio.
That was my question too, what is your investment philosophy and in what companies do you invest so (small) investors could follow your lead.
Hi Jobel,
The investment philosophy can be found here: https://qualitycompounding.substack.com/p/my-quality-investment-philosophy
Regarding the company examples... Stay tuned!
That’s great
This was phenomenal! Truly appreciate the time and effort put into this.
Thank you, Frank!
The best is yet to come! Working hard on a full Compounding Quality service.
Looking forward to seeing that.
As usual another home run. Stuff they should be teaching in grade school.
We will compile a book with all articles!
Thank you
Thank YOU, Arvin!
Thank you so much
Thank YOU Rodolfo!
Informative educational. I only discovered CQ a few weeks ago. I now read every release!
Happy to hear that!
In the future, we'll convert some articles in free courses and even might write a book.
Quality.
Always focus on quality over quantity. :)
Thanks for your insights .. they reinforce how important company specific data is and outside noise on debt ceilings ..inflation ..interest rates however interesting ultimately doesnt matter to the equity investor
Absolutely!
Daily news, macroeconomics, ... is all noise. Focus on what matters, select beautiful companies and you'll end up fine.
Thank you!

Fair point. Personally I don't invest directly in Emerging Markets. I do indirectly though via worldwide companies like LVMH.

Very encouraging. All the stocks we have in our ITA PORTFOLIO are also in the various portfolios of the gurus except Netflix and Abbvie😯
Sounds good. You should be fine! :)
Looks like Jim Rogers has the stocks to own. What are they?
hi Donald,
You can find his portfolio here: https://www.dataroma.com/m/holdings.php?m=CAAPX
Sir, may I ask the question what is the backrest program that you compare with MSCI ?
I backtested this via Bloomberg. It's a very good service but also very expensive (> $50K per year).
