You mentioned Chuck's largest positions : MasterCard, Moody’s, American Tower, Visa, and Constellation Software.

I am discovering there is another attribute common to most sustainable compounders. They are simple, obvious, and boring. 😉 Maybe something like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft would be as "hot" as it gets.

MasterCard and Visa

* Simple: Payment networks.

* Obvious: Everyone uses them everyday.

* Boring: They are not targeted by governments for break-up.

Moody’s

* Simple: Credit rating agency.

* Obvious: Of course we need watchdogs and careful eyes performing financial analysis. We'd have untamed society otherwise.

* Boring: They never seem to get in serious trouble, if any trouble!

American Tower

* Simple: They own cell phone towers and the land that sits on them.

* Obvious: How else do we connect our cell phones together? Today's world would freeze without these towers.

* Boring: Have you seen one of these towers? They kind of just sit there and look like they're doing nothing. In reality, they are doing their job very well making sure we all stay connected.

100%, Boris!

If you come to Omaha next year, I'll try to get you in the private meeting of François Rochon if that would interest you!

Thank you for this information. I just read "Where the Money Is" by Adam Seessel who is a "kindred spirit" with the same investment philosophy.
