Interactive Brokers ($IBKR) is a US-based online broker with over 3.6 million clients.
It offers access to stocks, options, futures, currencies, and more on 150+ exchanges worldwide.
IBKR earns money in two main ways:
Interest income (60.5%): It invests over $100 billion from its client cash into safe loans and bonds, earning a profit on the spread, just like a bank.
Fees and commissions (39.5%): Clients pay small fees for each trade they place on the platform.
