I invest the savings from my daily hard work, so it is very important to me that this is not gambling. Thanks to CQ, I have gained a much stronger conviction that investing in quality stocks is the right approach.

I am especially grateful for the opportunity to rely on Pieter’s professional insights. The way he runs CQ reflects a very high level of quality and dedication. His experience, the meetings he is involved in, and the consistency of his analysis give me a great sense of trust and reassurance.

My strategy is therefore to follow CQ, as I simply don’t have the time or expertise to analyze such a wide range of stocks myself. Still, I feel involved because I understand the analyses and the feedback shared within the partnership. I am happy to contribute and be part of this from the beginning.

Even in the current challenging market conditions, this trust becomes even more valuable. Although my personal portfolio has not always matched the timing or allocation of CQ—and therefore has not yet outperformed the market—I remain confident. The quality of Pieter’s work and the long-term vision behind it give me a strong sense of calm and belief in the future.

I would also like to sincerely thank all partners for their many valuable contributions, and especially Pieter, who consistently provides very clear and easy-to-understand analyses of the market and our portfolio

If I could make one suggestion, it would only be from a position of appreciation: perhaps CQ could benefit from having more than one key lead investor over time—similar to the strength of partnerships like Munger and Buffett.

Thanxs to all the partners who contribute and especialy Pieter for his clear insights.

Wow. This means the world to me, Erwin!

Investing is a long term game. I am currently reading the entire financial history of Berkshire Hathaway (over 1,200 pages).

Times are definitely weird in the market right now. History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. It happened quite a few times in the past too. I truly believe in the strategy we're using and the stock picks we have. Our companies keep generating more and more free cash flow year after year. Stock prices will follow (eventually)!

Hello, Pieter!

I greatly enjoyed reading your latest post. Your candor and humility are exactly what drew me to your Substack over three years ago.

Every now and then, I look back at those early posts, re-reading my favorite pieces along with our old comment exchanges. It’s incredible to see how much Compounding Quality has grown since then. You are truly living your dream, my friend, and it serves as a powerful lesson for all of us: take a simple idea, take it seriously, and stay the course. Plant a seed, water it, tend to it, and a beautiful flower will blossom in time.

Wishing you continued success and growth on the journey ahead!

Hi Pavel,

I truly appreciate it! I think you're very busy nowadays, aren't you?

Would love to catch up soon!

Yes, Pieter. My project is ongoing and keeps me very busy. I spend a lot of time even on my days off to review and plan for the summer, which will be challenging.

I think you are for real and authentic. Can't ask for anymore than that.

I truly appreciate that, Chris.

Let’s keep making progress from here!

Of course I want to see my investments increase in value but if I chose to invest in worthwhile quality companies I am please to be associated with them even if the market does not yet appreciate them. So I may not chose to invest in companies I do not feel are worthwhile even if Mr Market (or even Pieter) likes them and prefer ones that I find interesting and that do something of benefit to us all even they will not catch Mr Market's eye for a while but as long as they are quality companies. Hi Phil,

That's exactly the right approach. I can't wait to see what the future will bring for us!

Why i answered "no": I have been a partner for over 2 years now. If I don't know what your philosophy and way of working is right now, I haven't understood anything. That being said: this is very important for people that do not know you yet.

Hi Peter,

Noted! On the other hand, I also think that repetition is important and great. Sometimes, it's good to remind ourselves about the essentials.

You are obviously ambitious and hardworking young man, but you are missing a few big pieces to outperform the market. Picking stock is the very first step of investing, you still haven't realized the importance of other processes. I hope you do well but the current strategy alone simply won't work without extreme good luck.

Compounding Quality's avatar

Could you elaborate? What kind of other processes am I missing according to you?

SK's avatar

Portfolio management, trading management (where you see market timing as no value), risk management, domain specific knowledge, information collecting process, etc. Each of them requires very hard work and long experience. Having fiscal.ai is far from enough, you need everything (or at least aware of them) collectively to beat the market.

Risks are mentioned way too less, I understand that's for newsletter. Newsletter and performance usually don't come hand in hand.

I am sure you realize Warren Buffet didn't just "buy and hold" - he is the greatest marketer - and he traded all the time. Why is that?

What did you learn from NVO? There is big lesson in it.

You probably do think all these things. From free newsletter I can only see stock picking, and that's just the very basic thing once becoming a sophisticated investor.

Hi SK,

And I think that's the main thing. I can't share everything for free. The Deep Research is behind a paywall, exclusively for Partners. It wouldn't be justified to share this with everyone for free.

It would be great if you could respond to mails sent to you by «partners»…

That’s the mail I have sent to, but sent again now👍
