How do we invest in companies that are not US based: like Kelly Patners etc

Six Bravo's avatar

Many international companies list their stock with OTC Markets. Kelly Partners Group Holdings, for example, has the ticker KPGHF.

By the way, OTC Markets (OTCM) is one of our favorite quality compounders with a five year average ROIC of 58.2%.

I would assume that you can buy non US companies via certain brokers.

But I am not an expert in US brokers. I'll look into this over the next few weeks.

Interactive Brokers is likely the top choice for US investors to access foreign exchanges with competitive commission/fees. #2 IMO is Fidelity primarily because their $0 commission trades extend to US OTC, where many foreign companies trade though sometimes very thinly or no volume at all.

I already heard a lot of positive things about Interactive Brokers too. It's probably the most preferred choice.
